Carey Island

Carey Island, 20 kilometre away from the Klang town, was first planted with coffee tree during British rule but now turned into an oil palm estate.

Currently, the Mah Meri native tribe still occupies the land. Althrough they now lead a modern life many still retain their unique traditional cultures.

Tourist get to experience the tribe’s traditional dance and musical performance and their extraordinarily fine wood carvings and other hadicrafts.

距离巴生市区约20公里的加厘岛充满原始风味,早年英国人在岛上种植咖啡,目前已成为一望无际的油棕园。

目前,岛上还保留着玛美丽族的原住民村落,该族群如今已融入现代化的生活方式,但仍保留其独特的文化。

在此,游客可欣赏原住民的传统舞蹈和音乐表演,以及他们另一著名的手工艺品-以沼泽硬木精心雕刻而成的面具和作品。
